Tuesday 19th march 2019 INTERTEXTUALITY K: The concept of intertextuality. U: How the concept of intertextuality is used in media texts. BAT: Analyse media texts using intertextuality. CO: Use media terminology throughout.  ---------------- INFO 1 INTERTEXTUALITY means creating one text to reference to another, INTERTEXTUALITY can also happen when the content of one media text makes reference to another. INTERTEXTUALITY is not always obvious. references can only be recognised if you know what they are referring to. they are also cultural, social and linguistic limitations.  So, why do media texts use  intertextuality ? Tuesday 12th march 2019 what do magazines look like?   What connotations do the colours they use have?  Magazines: Layout Typography Use of language Use of images types of images long shot images  style  clothing hair style - ------------------- Choose TWO front covers and TWO double spread articles from educational magazines. 1. this magazine shows how to cook and shows the instructions on how to cook nice food. it also talks about cooking as well. the magazine shows colourful writing   and a   shows a close picture of food   to persuade the people. the use words like "The easy issue" they use this because, the writer knows its easy and the people find it an issue to cook food. they use white background to make the magazine more clear so its more focused of the food and the people don't get distracted on the background. NEA-briefs

Tuesday 5th march 2019 NEA Briefs K: The requirements for each of the briefs set by OCR. U: How to approach the chosen brief, including writing the statement of intent. BAT: Choose a brief and start planning what to write in the statement of intent.
